After you arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, you will be transferred to Shillong (4,990 feet). It is popularly known as “The Scotland of the East”. En route, you will visit Umium Lake, a magnificent tranquil lake which is bordered by sylvan hills. After you arrive at Shillong, you will check in at your hotel. You will stay at Shillong overnight.
After you eat your breakfast, you will visit Ward’s Lake, Don Bosco Museum, Lady Hydari Park and Botanical Garden. You can spend the evening as your free time or for personal purposes. You will stay overnight at Shillong.
After eating your breakfast, you will be driven to Cherrapunjee (4,500 feet), which is the most humid place in the world. En route, you will enjoy Nohkalikai Falls, Mawkdok Valley, Ramkrishna Mission (drive pass) and Dainthelen Falls. When you arrive at Cherrapunjee, you will check in at your hotel. You will stay overnight at Cherrapunjee.
After eating your breakfast, you will get ready for a 12-hour trek for visiting the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, which is located deep inside the forest. To reach there, it will take three to four hours (the time depends on how much physically fit the tourist is). In the afternoon, you will see the Nohsngithiang Falls (called as the Mawsmai Falls or Seven Sisters Waterfalls as well), Koh Ram Hah, Mawsmai Cave, and EcoPark. In the evening, you will return to the hotel. You will stay overnight at Cherrapunjee.
After eating your breakfast, you will be driven to Guwahati. On the way, you will visit Shillong peak and Elephanta Falls for some amazing sights. After arriving at Guwahati, you will check in at a hotel. You will visit ‘Kalakshetra’ in the evening, a site where the culture and history of Assam is showcased through a light and sound show. You will return to the hotel and stay overnight at Guwahati.
After eating breakfast, you will visit Tirupati Balaji Temple, Kamakhya Temple, Assam State Museum, Nabagraha Temple, Regional Science Centre, State Zoo cum Botanical Garden and Sukreswar Temple, which is the sixth Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, you have the option to go on a Golden sunset sail on the Brahmaputra River. However, you need to make a direct payment for this on your own. You will stay overnight at Guwahati.
After eating breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and be transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your homeward trip.
