The Golden Temple is the prime attraction in the city of Amritsar. It is the holiest site for the followers of Sikh religion and is also known as the Harmandir Sahib. The border town of Wagah is one of the principal tourist draws in Punjab. It lies beside the international boundary of India and Pakistan. The place is always full of activities and thousands of travelers visit the place for watching the flag swapping ceremony between the Indian and Pakistani army men. Jallian Wala Bagh is a monument which was constructed to commemorate the innocent people who lost their lives in the 1919 Jallian Wala Bagh massacre. Every year, countless men and women come here to see the monument. The bullet marks are still visible on the fences.
Ludhiana is the largest city in Punjab and is known for its garment manufacturing sector. The rivers passing over the city are also pleasant attractions.
