There are three international airports in Kerala and they are as follows:
The Government is also proposing to set up another international airport in Kannur. The Cochin International Airport is the biggest and busiest in Kerala.
The Southern Railway tracks of the Indian Railways pass across the state, joining the majority of cities and towns other than those lying in the upland provinces of Wayanad and Idukki. Out of six sections of Southern Railway, two regulate the railway network in Kerala and they are Palakkad Railway Division and Thiruvananthapuram Railway Division. The busiest railhead in the state is Trivandrum Central or TVC. The principal railheads of the state include Kozhikode, Kannur , Shornur Junction, Tirur, Thrissur Railway Station, Palakkad Junction, Ernakulam Town (North), Aluva, Alappuzha, Ernakulam Junction (South), Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Kayamkulam Junction, Chengannur, Kollam Junction, and Thiruvananthapuram Central.
State highways, national highways, and district roads constitute the roadways network of the state. The greater part of the western shorelines of the state can be reached via NH 17 and NH 47 national highways. At the same time, travelers can reach the eastern portion of the state via different state highways. A hill highway has been planned as well so that visitors can reach the mountains in the east without any difficulty. Panvel in Maharashtra is connected to Edapally via NH 17 and the most extensive span is 421 km. It begins from Kochi and runs across Kannur, Kozhikode, and Kasaragod prior to getting into Karnataka.
