In terms of area, Goa is the smallest state in India. Lying on the shorelines of Western India, the state of Goa forms a part of the region known as the Konkan. Read More....By Air: The busiest airport in the state of Goa, Goa International Airport, is a public territory at INS Hansa, an airstrip belonging to the Indian Navy. It is situated at Dabolim, close to Vasco da Gama. This airfield offers planned overseas and domestic flight facilities. Scheduled flights are available to overseas destinations in the Middle East such as Dubai, Doha, Sharjah as well as Kuwait. The airlines that operate from Goa to these destinations are Air India, Air Arabia, Indigo, GoAir, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, Qatar Airways and JetKonnect. The Dabolim Airport takes care of a considerable number of chartered flights in the ‘winter months. Flights from Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia and the Netherlands arrive particularly between November and May. Flight operators from Europe such as Thomson Airways, Monarch Airlines, Condor, Thomas Cook Airlines, and Arkefly provide a number of chartered flights along with other operators.
