Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1

    Arrival at Indore Airport/Railway Station

    The Indore excursion tour package covers top tourist spots bordered by the travelers’ route of Madhya Pradesh tourism. It is one of the most exciting ideas to begin your tour from Indore. Indore enjoys excellent connectivity via trains and flights. Therefore, it is the best spot to begin your journey. Gomatgiri, Central Museum, Khajrana, Kanch Mandir, and Lal Bagh Palace are some of the places to see in Indore. After you reach Indore, you will be taken to Mandu which is a drive of 90 km, a journey of 1 hour. You will stay overnight at the hotel in Mandu.

    Mandu Sightseeing

    On the second day of your tour, you will go for a whole day sightseeing trip of the monuments in Mandu. Mandu is also named as the “City of Joy”. You will see here a plethora of monuments which have been preserved in excellent condition. These monuments include palaces, forts, gardens, water reservoir, cenotaphs, mosques, temples and so on. Mandu lies in a beautiful area and is considered as an ideal spot for photography lovers. You will stay overnight at the hotel in Mandu.

    Mandu to Maheshwar

    Early in the morning, you will start the day with a trip to Maheshwar, which is situated at a distance of 70 km, a journey of 2 hours. Maheshwar is situated on the bank of the river Narmada. It was the capital of the famous Holkar kingdom who have a significant influence on the history of the Malwa area. For the entire duration of the tour, you will see all the monuments constructed in the Holkar rule. During your whole-day sightseeing trip, you will be also taken to the riverbank temples and Ahilya Fort. Furthermore, enjoy your boat trip on the Narmada River. You will stay overnight at the hotel in Maheshwar.

  • Day : 4

    Maheshwar to Omkareshwar

    On this day, you will visit Omkareshwar in the morning, a journey of 90 km or 2 hours. En route, you will see the Omkareshwar temples. See tourist spots such as Shri Omkar Mandhata, Saptamatrika Temple, Kajal Rani Cave, Varhdheshwar Temple, Siddhanath Temple, historical temples like Annapurna Temple, Gouri Somnath Temple and so on. The place is famous for housing the Jyotirlinga Temple or the Mamaleshwar Temple. Devoted to Lord Shiva, it is named as Amareshwar Temple as well. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Ujjain, a journey of 160 km or 4 hours in the evening by car. You will stay overnight at the hotel in Ujjain.

  • Day : 5

    Mahakaleshwar and Departure

    On the fifth day of your tour, you will be taken to the Mahakaleshwar Temple in the morning. Mahakaleshwar is one of the Jyotirlingams and you must see this religious site in Ujjain. Following this, if you have sufficient time, you can also see other ashrams and temples such as Harsiddhi Mandir, Gopal Mandir, Bade GaneshJi, Sandipani Ashram, Chousat Yogini, Chintaman Ganesh, Bhartrihari Caves, Pir Matsyendranath, Vedh Shala, Kaliadeh Palace and so on. Subsequently, you will be dropped at the airport/railway station for your homebound journey.
